California City Municipal Airport is located two miles northwest of the central business district of California City, in the Fremont Valley of Kern County, California, USA.
Cal City Airport is dedicated to serving our city with all of our recreational and professional flying and maintenance needs. We strive to support our local community in all facets of aviation.
Our airport serves every part of aviation including sky diving, military jump training, gliding, flight training, personal flying, aerial mapping and surveying, County, State, and Civil Air Patrol Support, as well as stunt and filming areas for productions. With our adjacent manufacturing zone that is International Trade tax free, we are uniquely qualified to offer many essential and commercial business types a new, economical, and positive outlook area to move to.
California City Airport has a long history of recreational air sports including skydiving, hot air balloons, gliders and private aircraft. Nestled in the heart of the Mojave, Cal City Airport is excited to refresh our vision and bring it back to life.
Our 63 acre drop zone was host to over 25,000 jumps per year and was one of the largest skydiving operations in the state of California. We are actively seeking licensed candidates to re-open a jump school and fill the skies with parachutes once again.
Coordinated effort from the airport staff and surrounding businesses, has fostered a close knit community of flight enthusiasts who act to spread the word and increase activity on the tarmac.
The surrounding and adjacent land has plenty of room for growth, both commercial and manufacturing and it is our goal to actively seek new businesses to lease/build and share in our vision of a thriving airport.
